AGTのクーラーは、なぜ屋根の上にないのか

今回とり上げる話題は、

AGTのクーラーは、なぜ屋根の上

にないのか

です。

鉄道の通勤車両のクーラーが屋根

の上に置かれているのは皆さんご

存じでしょう。 それに対し AGT の屋根は、

フラットになっていてクーラーは

見当たりません。

では、AGT のクーラーはどこに 置かれているのでしょうか。

そして、なぜ鉄道車両と同じように 屋根の上に置かないのでしょうか。 家庭用クーラーは、室内機と 室外機に分かれていますが、

AGT のクーラーもそれと同じで、 室内機を車内の天井裏に、室外機を 床下にと分けて設置しています。

屋根の上にクーラーを置かない 理由は、国土交通省の 「新交通システム基本仕様」で、 車両の高さは3.3m以下と決め られているためです。

全高が決められているなかで、 車内の天井をできるだけ高くして

乗客の居心地をよくするため、

AGT の屋根の上に何も置かない

構造が採用されているのです。

Why aren't AGT coolers on the

roof?

You probably know that the

coolers on commuter railcars are

placed on the roof.

In contrast, the roof of an AGT is

flat and there is no cooler to be

seen.

So, where are the coolers placed

on AGTs?

And why are they not placed on

the roof as in railcars?

Household coolers are divided

into an indoor unit and an

outdoor unit, and AGT's coolers

are the same way with the indoor

unit above the ceiling of the car

and the outdoor unit under the

floor.

The reason for not placing the

coolers on the roof is that the

Ministry of Land, Infrastructure,

Transport and Tourism's "New

Transit System Basic

Specifications" stipulate that the

height of the vehicle be 3.3

meters.

The AGT roof is designed with

nothing on top of the roof to

make the ceiling as high as

possible and to improve

passenger comfort.
